Lifeline Support Update: Counseling & Forgiveness
Recent sessions focused on forgiveness with personal counseling available. The class focusing on forgiveness and how it impacted the students was a wonderful interactive time with a combine class of J.S.S and S.S.S Students. Many shared their experiences of having conflicts with family members, friends and Neighbors and how they resolved it in different ways and the beauty of forgiveness which is peace.
The topic of forgiveness was discussed at length in an interactive class where the benefits of forgiveness where also discussed such as peace, joy and healing. Similarly so the definition and some dangers of un-forgiveness were stated: heartburn, headaches, depression, confusion, misbehavior and disintegration in families. Counselees also expressed that un-forgiveness enslaves, but forgiveness frees someone. As we closed, I encouraged them to live in peace as best as they can and if possible avoid conflict.
Personal counseling was offered to all the young ladies and three young ladies met me for personal counseling. They shared their hurts they were not able to share in the class. We talked and allowed them to pour out their hurts.
